Dr. Syed Abdul Nasir Shah is a highly accomplished medical professional specializing in Family Medicine. He holds an MBBS degree from The Aga Khan University, Karachi, and has pursued additional qualifications, including MCPS in Family Medicine, FCPS in Family Medicine, MRCGP International, and FRCGP International. With extensive experience across various aspects of family medicine, Dr. Shah has actively contributed to research studies on contraception methods, sexually transmitted diseases, complications of circumcisions, disease pattern in earthquake, family physicians’ job satisfaction, and community perceptions of diseases. His research work has been published in reputable medical journals. In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Shah has held key administrative roles, serving as a Program Director for Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs, Director of Family Medicine Residency Programs, and Head of Family Medicine Departments at esteemed institutions such as the University of Health Sciences (UHS) and Fatima Memorial Hospital. He has made notable contributions to the field through his involvement as an Examiner for MRCGP International and the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP). Currently, Dr. Shah serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Central Institute of Family Medicine, where he continues to advance the practice of Family Medicine and enhance healthcare delivery in Pakistan. His expertise and dedication make him a highly respected figure in promoting quality healthcare in the country.

Dr. Basharat Ali is a distinguished Family Medicine Consultant and Professor at the Central Institute of Family Medicine, Lahore. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor and Member of the Steering Committee at the University of Health Sciences, Lahore, and as a board member of the Diplomat Board of Family Medicine. With extensive experience as an examiner for MRCGP, MCPS, MPhil, and PhD, Dr. Ali has organized numerous research methodology workshops for family physicians across South Asia, as well as for MD, MS, FCPS, MPhil, and PhD students in Pakistan. His international collaborations include work with Mercy Corps Pakistan, WONCA SAR, and FMPC India, contributing as both Chair of Research and International Faculty. Dr. Ali has co-supervised MPhil and PhD students, delivered presentations at international conferences, and published extensively in national and international journals. His contributions have been recognized with the WONCA Fellowship in 2023 and the Best Poster Award at the World Rural Health Conference in Calgary, Canada.

Dr. Marie Andrades is a Visiting Professor and Founding Head of the Institute of Family Medicine at Jinnah Sindh Medical University. She currently serves as the Medical Director at Holy Family Hospital, Karachi, and holds the roles of Vice Chair of the MRCGP[INT] South Asia Board and Executive Member of the WONCA Working Party for Education. Dr. Andrades is a Fellow of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, an International Member and Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners UK (MRCGP INT), and an Honorary Fellow of the College of General Practitioners Sri Lanka. Additionally, she holds a Master’s in Health Professions Education and is a member of the National Bioethics Committee of Pakistan. In recognition of her contributions to Family Medicine in Pakistan and the South Asia region, she has been awarded fellowships by the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA) and the Sri Lankan College of General Practitioners.
