About the Journal

The Sustainable Global Health Security Network (SGHSN) is an international organization advancing health security through an integrated One Health approach, addressing the interconnections between human, animal, and environmental health. SGHSN works across disciplines to promote sustainable solutions to complex health challenges, with a strong focus on research, policy advocacy, education, and capacity building. The organization targets key areas such as infectious disease surveillance, antimicrobial resistance, climate-related health risks, gender equality, environmental sustainability, and universal healthcare access.

Education is a central pillar of SGHSN’s mission. Through various capacity-building programs, training initiatives, and knowledge dissemination platforms, SGHSN empowers students, professionals, and policymakers to confront global health and sustainability issues. A flagship component of its educational initiatives is Advances in Medical Sciences, Health Security, and One Health (AMSHO)—an international, peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration in medical sciences, global health security, and One Health. AMSHO aims to address emerging and re-emerging health challenges, promote innovation grounded in responsibility, and expand the frontiers of scientific knowledge for sustainable solutions worldwide.

Through such integrative educational efforts, SGHSN seeks to strengthen global health systems, reduce disparities, and contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ultimately aiming for a more resilient, equitable, and healthier world.
