Aims & Scope

The Pakistan Journal of Pediatric Dermatology (PJPD) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing research and clinical practice in pediatric dermatology. The journal publishes original research, reviews, case reports, pictorial essays and scholarly commentaries focused on skin health in neonates, infants, children and adolescents. Its scope covers clinical pediatric dermatology, genodermatosis, dermato-oncology, procedural dermatology, diagnostic innovations, pharmacology and therapeutics, as well as psychosocial, cultural and public health aspects of childhood skin diseases.

PJPD provides a platform for region-specific and international contributions, with special attention to challenges in South Asia and Pakistan. The journal aims to promote evidence-based care, innovation and collaboration among dermatologists, pediatricians, researchers and allied health professionals, while supporting education, mentorship and capacity building in pediatric dermatology.

The journal has adopted a fully Gold Open Access model, making the final version of all articles freely and permanently accessible to the public. It follows a rigorous double-anonymous peer review system. In addition to its regular content, PJPD also features selected findings from conferences, workshops, and related academic events, further broadening the dissemination of knowledge in pediatric dermatology.
