JSHS Launches Volume 2

The Journal of Social & Health Sciences (JSHS) is pleased to announce the release of its second volume, Volume 2, 2023. This milestone signifies our continued dedication to providing a comprehensive platform for disseminating scientific knowledge on social and health issues.

Volume 2 features a diverse array of articles addressing critical topics within the social and health sciences. Highlights include the editorial "Investing in the Future: Prioritizing Adolescent Health in Pakistan" by Muhammad Ahmed Abdullah, which underscores the need for focused adolescent health policies in Pakistan. Original articles in this volume include Sung Seek Moon's study on "Alzheimer’s Disease Susceptibility in African American Elders: A Classification and Regression Tree (CART) Analysis Approach," which offers valuable insights into the factors influencing Alzheimer's susceptibility. Humaira Mahmood's research on "The Effectiveness of Digital Media Platforms on Birth Preparedness and Complication Readiness Knowledge Among Healthcare Professionals" explores the role of digital media in healthcare education.

Other notable contributions include Seema Saifuddin's descriptive study on "Patterns of Intimate Partner Violence During Pregnancy," Alveena Mobeen's hospital-based study from Lahore on "Effects of Mattress Firmness and Usage Duration on Low Back Pain," and Sadia Akram's exploration of "Demographic Influences on Perception of Aging, Appearance-Related Consciousness, and Negative Self-Perception Among Young and Middle-Aged Adult Women."

JSHS remains an open-access, peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal, welcoming empirical and theoretical contributions that inform current research, policy, and practice. The journal covers a broad range of disciplines, including anthropology, economics, criminology, public health, psychology, epidemiology, sociology, and behavioral sciences.
