Prof. Shahzad Ali Khan is serving Health Services Academy as a Vice-Chancellor. He holds a PhD in Management Sciences, a Fellowship of the Faculty of Public Health (FFPH) from the Royal College of Physicians, and a Fellowship of the Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH), London, UK. He has 28 years of public health-related work experience ranging from peripheral-level administration to management of tertiary care facilities. His professional expertise includes health systems analysis, health management, policy planning, strategic planning, governance, health economics and financing, health reforms, civil society organizations, project management, and human resource development of the public and private sector workforce. Dr. Shahzad has contributed to several national and international strategies, policies, working papers, training manuals and policy papers. In addition, he has more than 150 peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals of the world. He has worked for several international organizations and secured grants from but not limited to World Bank, WHO, USAID, UNICEF, UNFPA, GiZ, UNAIDS, IOM, RAF, TRF, and GFATM.
