Prof. Dr. Syed Hyder Raza Appointed to Editorial Leadership of NJMDS
The Niazi Journal of Medical & Dental Sciences (NJMDS) is pleased to announce the inclusion of Prof. Dr. Syed Hyder Raza, MBBS, MBA, CHPE, CHR, M.Phil, PhD, in its editorial leadership. Dr. Raza currently serves as Principal at Niazi Medical & Dental College (NMDC), Sargodha, and brings a wealth of experience as a senior academic, researcher, and administrator in the fields of pharmacology and medical education.
Dr. Raza holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Karachi and earned his M.B.B.S. from Liaquat Medical College, Jamshoro. His diverse qualifications include advanced certifications in health research, assessment practices, and medical education. Over the past two decades, he has held key positions such as Principal and Vice Principal at leading medical institutions in Pakistan.
His expertise spans core medical systems including the cardiovascular, central nervous, respiratory, and renal systems, as well as chemotherapy. Dr. Raza has a strong academic footprint, having supervised numerous postgraduate theses, published in national and international journals, and conducted faculty development workshops on medical education and research methodology.
His association with NJMDS is in line with the journal’s mission to publish high-quality, peer-reviewed research in basic medical sciences, clinical medicine, surgery, dentistry, public health, and allied health disciplines, with a special focus on healthcare issues pertinent to low- and middle-income countries.
Dr. Raza’s presence on the editorial leadership team will contribute to enhancing the journal’s academic standards and expanding its reach among scholars and practitioners committed to improving health outcomes through research and education.
