JSHS Releases Inaugural Volume

The Journal of Social & Health Sciences (JSHS) is pleased to announce the release of its inaugural volume, Volume 1, 2022. This milestone marks a significant step in our commitment to providing a comprehensive forum for the dissemination of scientific knowledge related to social and health issues.

Volume 1 features a diverse collection of articles that address critical topics in social and health sciences. The contributions include a viewpoint piece titled "The Economic Cost of Not Practicing Optimal Breastfeeding: A Review" by Rafi Amir-ud-Din. Among the original articles, Rooha Tamimi explores "The Financial Burden of Knee Osteoarthritis Patients: A Study of Healthcare Costs and Expenses," while Syeda Shazmina Fayyaz examines "Students' Perception of Smartphones as a New Modality to Enhance Health Sciences Knowledge." Hira Ashraf presents a comparative study on "Life Satisfaction and Psychological Stress Levels Among Male and Female Allied Health College Students," and Khalid Masood Gondal investigates "Diagnostic Delay in Breast Cancer Diagnosis: The Role of Health Practitioners." Additionally, Misrat Masuma Parvez conducts a comparative cross-sectional study on "Knowledge About the Health Risks of Cigarette Smoking in Young Adult Smokers and Nonsmokers University Students."

JSHS, an open-access, peer-reviewed multidisciplinary journal, welcomes empirical and theoretical contributions that inform current research, policy, and practice. The journal covers a broad spectrum of disciplines, including anthropology, economics, criminology, public health, psychology, epidemiology, sociology, behavioral sciences, and more.
