Dr. Faheem Shahzad is working as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Immunology, University of Health Sciences, Lahore, Pakistan. His area of research is infection and immunity, particularly tuberculosis, but he is also interested in studying molecular pathways underlying host resistance and tolerance to pathogens. He has more than seven years of research experience and has published more than 34 research articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Faheem is a certified professional of the International Federation of Biosafety Associations (IFBA) and has worked as a Master Trainer for Pakistan Biological Safety Association. He also held the position of Young Ambassador of Science to Pakistan for the American Society for Microbiology (ASM). He is an active member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI), and the International Society for Infectious Diseases.
