The Bulletin of Pharmaceutical & Medicinal Research (BPMR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal that provides a platform for researchers worldwide to share their latest findings in pharmaceutical and medicinal research. BPMR covers various interdisciplinary fields, such as pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, basic medical sciences, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, and pharmacy practice, with an aim to foster the exchange of innovative ideas and advancements in these critical areas.

In addition, Prof. Saeed also serves the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur as Chairman. Furthermore, he is a member of the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan. He has supervised several M.Phil. and PhD students and have 78 national and international publications.
Prof. Dr. Somia Gul is a distinguished scholar and academic leader, currently serving as Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Jinnah University for Women, Karachi, Pakistan. She earned her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Karachi in 2011 as an HEC Indigenous Fellow, attaining this milestone at the remarkable age of 27. Since joining Jinnah University in 2011, Dr. Gul has held key leadership positions, including Chairperson of the Faculty of Pharmacy (Morning), Program Head (Morning), and the founding Program Head of the M.Phil./Ph.D. program. She has supervised M.Phil. and Ph.D. research since 2014, producing a generation of scholars in pharmaceutical and analytical sciences. Her research portfolio encompasses pharmaceutical and medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry, and computer-aided drug design (CADD). She has made significant contributions to the synthesis and characterization of biologically active compounds, drug–metal complexes, herbal and natural products, and stability-indicating analytical methods. Dr. Gul has authored over 108 publications in indexed, high-impact journals, as well as the book Interaction of Sparfloxacin by HPLC Technique (2012). Dr. Gul’s achievements reflect both national and international recognition. She serves as consultant for international research organizations, including the Norxin Medical Research Cooperation Center (China), and as reviewer for major publishers such as Elsevier, Springer, and Wiley. She has also been appointed evaluator for the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan and the Pakistan Science Foundation. Her awards and honors include the Quality Reviewer Award from Coventry University (UK) and HEC Pakistan, the Technology Award at the 2nd Invention to Innovation Summit Sindh (2017), the Best Performance Award from ASH Welfare Organization (2020), a Certificate of Appreciation from Elsevier for her SDG-linked open access article (2023), multiple HEC Travel Grants, and ISIRV/WHO/Qatar University funding to attend the 6th Respiratory Viruses School in Qatar (2025). She has further received recognition as a key international contributor to pharmaceutical sciences, with distinctions from academic and professional organizations in Pakistan, the UAE, and the UK. Her international keynote lectures reflect her strong global presence. She has delivered invited addresses at the 5th Annual Congress on Chemistry in Drug Discovery and Designing (Dubai, 2018), 1st International Conference DDCD, University of Swabi, Pakistan (2019), Recent Innovations in Pharmaceutical Care", RAK Medical & Health Sciences University, UAE (2022), the ICBBB International Conference, Bahawalpur (2022) and the 10th International Beauty, Fitness & Consumer Health Exhibition and Conference (2024). She has also been invited to deliver keynote sessions at Ziauddin University (2014) and the Invention to Innovation Summit Pakistan (2018). Under her mentorship, her students have secured top honors at national and international platforms with innovative projects such as an anticlogging and hydrating soap, liquid-tree: a microalgae-based bioreactor, and advanced technology-based concepts like Human/ Body on a Chip. Alongside her editorial role, she actively organizes and facilitates scientific conferences, symposia, and workshops—including specialized pre-conference training on computer-aided drug design—to advance pharmacy education and practice. Prof. Dr. Somia Gul continues to contribute significantly to pharmaceutical sciences through her leadership, teaching, mentorship, and impactful research, while shaping the future of academic publishing as Editor-in-Chief.
