Dr. Hafiz Muddassir Riaz is a practicing academic and clinician with over a decade of experience in physical therapy, education, and research. He is currently serving as Lecturer and Coordinator in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, where he also contributes as a research supervisor, curriculum committee member, and undergraduate program focal person for quality enhancement. He previously served as In-charge Physiotherapist at Allied Hospital Faisalabad under the Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department, Government of Punjab. Dr. Riaz earned his Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Allama Iqbal Medical College and later completed his Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy (TDPT) from UHS. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences at The Superior University, Lahore. His clinical and academic career spans roles in tertiary hospitals and teaching institutions, including the Sialkot College of Physical Therapy and Amin Medical Complex. His research interests focus on burn rehabilitation, musculoskeletal injuries, pulmonary rehabilitation, and health-related quality of life. He has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed articles in reputable journals such as the Journal of Burn Care & Research and the International Journal of Burns and Trauma. He is actively engaged in academic development through workshops and certifications, including systematic reviews, CPR training, musculoskeletal ultrasound, and digital innovations in physical therapy. Dr. Riaz serves on editorial boards for CPQ Medicine (USA) and EC Pulmonology and Respiratory Medicine (UK), and is a peer reviewer for MCB: Molecular and Cellular Biomechanics (USA). He is a member of international bodies including the Rehabilitation Committee of the International Society for Burn Injuries (USA), Phoenix Society for Burn Survivors (USA), and the Pakistan Physical Therapy Association.
